Review:

This has been a book that has been popping up on my news feed multiple times. Everyone was raving about it and I was skeptical about it. The synopsis didn't sound like something I would be interested in so I just rolled my eyes and shuffled to another book and another cover. However I could not pass it up when it went on sale on Amazon.

That was another thing that made me nervous about this book, the last time I bought a book that was on sale on Amazon it was absolutely horrible.

So, warily I swiped to the first page and began my descent into the dark underworld of Ketterdam.

Normally I am not a fan when the author switches view points every chapter. It tends to be distracting on my part and take away from the story. It usually makes it hard for me to become fully immersed in the tale. This was not the case, I actually enjoyed the different view points since it let me see a full picture of what was going on.

I liked that these kids have been through hell and back and  they don't seem like kids. They seem like hardened adults and that was pulled through the writing.

I liked the love interests that is barely there but enough to get you invested and the sass that the characters have. 
I am a sucker for sass really, Hahaha :)

I liked that unlike most YA books anymore this did not focus on love interests but rather the job they had been hired to do and the tasks it involved.

This book was exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat.

I think my only complaint was that while reading it on my kindle it said I was only 75% through and then it ended, the other 25% was a sneak peak. Which I didn't even attempt to read because then I just know I would have to get the second book right that very minute.

Your weekends are winding down and hopefully you have plenty of juicy stories to tell the grand kids one day...or me. Either way it works. lol. As you can tell I live through you guys, especially since my weekend didn't consist of romantic rendezvous or wild parties. No, my weekend consisted of a sick kiddo and cleaning house. I know I know I am a crazy woman but I can't help it. My one high point probably consisting of jumping on the band wagon that is Game of Thrones.

Did I just say that out loud..er type it?
Yep you read it right, I have not watched a single episode of Game of Thrones until this weekend where I have been watching episodes while the kiddo naps and in between cleaning.

Anyway,
The book that has been sharing my bed is a NetGalley find  and one that is full of toe curling, tummy tingling swoon worthy kisses. I am dying to find out how the love interests in this story get around their obstacles.

Review:

I cannot begin to imagine the stress that would come with being a twin of a super star.  As the oldest of four, two of my siblings being boys, there were plenty of girls who were just friends with me to get close to my brothers. It is annoying and the source of a lot of my trust issues when it comes to friends. I cannot imagine how bad it would be with someone who was famous in the family.

It is hard enough being famous but being mistaken for your twin who is famous and not being able to have any privacy has to be a special type of torture. You didn't sign up for it but you are gonna get it.

The angst in this book was very relatable. As I said before I had my own trust issues because of people only being friends to get close to my brothers and the author nailed it with Archer's insecurities.

I liked how realistic the uncertainty of dating in high school and all the questions that came with it. Does she like me? Is this flirting?  Is this a date or are we just friends?

As a mom and a married woman I don't have to deal with these problems anymore so it is a nice reminder of what single life use to be. I read this book in one setting, it was the perfect bit of cute summer read that made laying out in the yard soaking up the rays bearable.
